Rather large for a Japanese teacup, this handsome hand-made item is handmade in Arita Japan (known as "Arita-yaki"). Perfect for a large cup of Japanese green tea. Measures 10.3 cm wide x 6.5 cm high 4 inches wide x 2.6 inches tall).

This is a very nice hand made tea bowl; the wabi-sabi is strong with this one...
Because of the big size, I use it for sakura sencha and genmaicha.

Dear Kevin,

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the powdered Sencha I ordered. As usual, the typical characteristics of Japanese green teas were all there; the grassy mellowness, vibrancy, somewhat astringent tannins and the effervescence. I would follow the directions on the package and the results would yield a perfect cup of tea. The only caveat would be that the tea does not totally dissolve. Since I am a big fan of Matcha, I thought I would give powdered sencha a try and I like it a lot. Matcha is still my favorite. But I do love powdered teas better because of the health benefits that are touted more so than just steeping the leaves. One ingests the whole leaf which in turn is healthier than just drinking the run-off, which is only yielding thirty percent of the teas polyphenols.

Once again, the shipping schedule was on time and customer service was wonderful.

I just wanted to thank Kevin and O-cha tea.

I started purchasing tea from my local tea shop but quickly found that they had an extremely small selection of Japanese Green teas.

That's when i found O-cha. Kevin has been very helpful. He answers all inquiries and questions very quickly and effectively.
