For a quick, convenient, yet stellar cup of Japanese green tea, it will be hard to beat "Musashi" tea bags, by Tsuen tea - Japan's oldest tea shop. From Uji, this is a Tsuen proprietary blend of sencha. A proprietary blend Yabukita breed karigane sencha, the stems from gyokuro leaves are added, giving this tea a rather strong astringency with somewhat of a "tart", sharp taste. Very similar to Tsuen's Otsuusan, Musashi is less sweet with a bit more astringency for those who like a stronger tasting green tea. Try it today! Each pyramid shaped silk-like tea bag is sealed in it's own foil package ensuring freshness. Very green, very delicious. (20) 2 gram sachets per package.

Dear Kevin,

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the powdered Sencha I ordered. As usual, the typical characteristics of Japanese green teas were all there; the grassy mellowness, vibrancy, somewhat astringent tannins and the effervescence. I would follow the directions on the package and the results would yield a perfect cup of tea. The only caveat would be that the tea does not totally dissolve. Since I am a big fan of Matcha, I thought I would give powdered sencha a try and I like it a lot. Matcha is still my favorite. But I do love powdered teas better because of the health benefits that are touted more so than just steeping the leaves. One ingests the whole leaf which in turn is healthier than just drinking the run-off, which is only yielding thirty percent of the teas polyphenols.

Once again, the shipping schedule was on time and customer service was wonderful.

I was so excited to see my order was awaiting me once I arrived home from a stressful day at work and the packaging of the tea & pot were very secure in a nice presentation!I prepared my first cup of tea at work the next day and let me tell you, 30 minutes after drinking the "Kabusecha" I felt like I could run a marathon! Now I'm no scientist, (just an ordinary mother/wife) but I believe it has something to do with the antioxidants in the tea. Wow! Is this stuff legal because drinking regular store brought green tea does not have this effect on me like your tea. This tea has opened my mind and I've become more alert & focused. Thank you for a wonderful product and I will be awaiting my monthly shipment like a child awaits Santa Clause in December, lol.
