It's our pleasure to be able to offer the outstanding Uji sencha "Ujibashi San no Ma"  (released under the name Kirameki when offered as shincha in the spring).  From Japan's oldest teashop, Tsuen Tea, operating continuously from the same location on the banks of the Uji river for over 851 years. This item uses select 100% Uji grown, Yabukita leaves from the first harvest and is lightly steamed sencha (asamushi). It yields a very wonderful nice grassy aroma and is a very classy green tea. Here is your chance to try some of the best of what Japan has to offer in Japanese green tea.

This is a grassy sencha that isn't overpowering -- and very elegant.

If you're looking for a sencha with real elegance, this is the one. The flavor has many nuances. Beautiful tea.

I had the last two years the shincha version of this light steamed (asamushi) sencha and I am now happy to be able to buy this sencha during the whole year.

Easy to brew, nice flavor and a very good value: its price is indeed quite high, but the quality is up there.

The shincha version (Kirameki) was my favorite shincha of 2008. The sencha version carries on the legacy. Wonderful and grassy aroma that lingers in the mouth. It is high priced, but worth every cent.

With similar responses to those before, I found the spring shincha 'Kirameki' to be a very high quality, and with the release of the 'Ujibashi San no Ma', the quality continues. The taste is refreshing, elegant and sweet, not at all bitter.
