Fukamushi Sencha "Supreme" - (This item has been temporarily discontinued ) A first rate, first flush green tea, currently in shincha form and ready for immediate shipment. Harvested from the first round of young spring leaves, this 100% Yabukita green tea comes from Shizuoka Prefecture. If you like an "intense" green tea, this is the tea for you. Very green and very thick. More astringent than most or our green teas, the taste of this fukamushi sencha remains on the palate for an extended time. As this is a very bold green tea, be sure to not brew too hot, for too long, or with too much leaf. As with all of our loose leaf green teas, freshly packaged in nitrogen filled bags.

While not as easy to brew as other senchas, the process is worth it for this sweet and flavorful tea. Much better than Japanese green teas I find anywhere in the US for the same price. I've used about half the bag and have enjoyed every pot of it.

Not too sure why this (currently) doesn't have 5 stars for appearance. Just like all of O-cha's teas that I've tried, it's fresh and has a nice green colour to it. It's not too hard to brew either. (Maybe I just got lucky with it.)
Challenging but Delicious

Perhaps not the best for beginners, slightly picky brewing. Amazing flavor and deep green color on the second steep even with in 'instant' pour. Definitely a quality fukamushi sencha.
Really Good

This fukamushi has a very deep flavor. If you like deep steamed tea and want something with some depth... try this one.
One of my favorites!

Very green and very potent fukamushi sencha. Makes an very intense cup of tea, wonderfully grassy. Easy to overbrew though, but once you get the hang of it, Fukamushi Supreme really is a winner.
