A very nice, basic handcrafted teapot from Tokoname Japan. It's wideness makes it especially suitable for brewing gyokuro. Unique to this design is the oval shaped stainless steel infuser screen (see detailed images for a more accurate view.) The infuser screen is curved and is suspended off of the floor of the teapot, allowing the wet leaves to drain completely without remaining wet on the floor of the teapot in between subsequent infusions.

...a beauty, for shure... its i fine piece and for the price. The only deficit, i guess, its holds just 7 ounces (210) instead of 11 ounces like indicted...despite thats its a realy a fine piece of work! Love it.

Great teapot, perfect for Japanese green tea. I can definitely notice a difference in taste between this pot and heavily glazed pots. The metal filter does a great job at keeping leaves in the pot and has no signs of rust after one year, but can sometimes get clogged with tiny leaf from deep steamed green tea.
