If you are looking for a daily gyokuro, this might be a good choice.
It should be brewed at 1g leaf per oz of water as more leaf would yield a less sweet taste.

My first gyokuro. A great full and smooth mouthfeel. Very little astringency and a nice sweet flavor. A very different tea on each infusion so make sure you try up to 5! This was a great introduction to gyokuro for me.

What amazed me about the Yame is how willing it was to accept variations in brewing technique and style. Gyokuro can tend to be on the fussier side, but Yame definitely is not all that fussy.

Not to mention it is an extremely wonderful tasting tea, that gives you a good idea of what Gyokuro is about.

Yame is an excellent Starter Gyokuro.

Advantages: An easier to brew Gyokuro

This is a good gyo to get started on and learn the technique for brewing. With 100 grams you have some room to play. I brew this both traditional style and with more water and higher temps like a high quality sencha.

It is a good tea, like all of Kevin's offerings, but for the truly mind blowing gyokuro experience I will be shelling out a little more money for his more high end teas.

Advantages: Good Starter Gyo
