Matcha "Kyou Mukashi" - Probably one of our most popular matcha due to it's very high quality to price ratio. A high quality thin-type (usucha) matcha from Uji City, near Kyoto, Japan. Whether you use this for the tea ceremony or as a source for antioxidants, know that this matcha, as with all of our products, is extremely fresh (we only order as we sell them) and is a quality throughout. We keep this product under refrigeration until shipment.

So far I've tried this and the lower level Uji Organic Matcha that is several dollars cheaper. There is a distinct difference between this matcha and the Uji Organic Matcha. This one tastes definitely fresher, and gives a more pleasant feel (aroma).

This tea has a warm, balanced flavor that I find neither too bitter nor too sweet. It reminds me of something I heard on an Alan Watts recording, in which he was describing a Zen concept.
