Organic Green Tea - Kagoshima Organic Sencha

Wonderful smell out the glittery packet. 1st infusion is smooth and buttery, wonderful almost strawberry taste. flashes of reds and pink for you synesthesia suffers out there. Slight grassy aftertaste with the strawberrys. Wonderfull stuff.

Brewed with filtered water using 2 and half teaspoons and at 77 degrees for 1 minute.

I bought this as my first sencha and have been extremely impressed with both the quality of the tea and o-cha's service.

I can't provide reference for how this compares to the rest of o-cha's lineup but I am in love with this stuff.

Not bitter at all when brewed properly (easy to do!). A nice creamy/buttery flavor on first infusion, with a really nice aftertaste and coating on your throat when done. The taste lasts for a long time after a cup of this stuff.
Second infusion is sweeter than the first. Third is nice and light, and a fourth is possible and enjoyable provided you steep it a while.

Lovely, smooth with a deep long lasting after taste.
