Arita Teapot "Kohiki Budō"
A high quality handcrafted teapot from Arita Japan, Arita Teapot "Kohiki Budou" is perfect for brewing green tea. A small teapot, it would be best used for single cups of green tea. The infuser screen is deep rather than wide and is removable. Uji Sencha Aoi
It's our pleasure to be able to offer the outstanding Uji Sencha "Aoi", ("Green") from Japan's oldest teashop, Tsuen Tea. This item consists of yabukita leaves from the first harvest and is Tsuen's second highest ranked sencha, the first being their San no Ma. This lightly steamed sencha (asamushi) yields a very wonderful nice grassy aroma. Here is your chance to try some of the best of what Japan has to offer in Japanese green tea, directly from the banks of the Uji river.

Mogake Shiboridash Teapot
Handcrafted in Tokoname, Aichi prefecture Japan, this Mogake style teapot was made with gyokuro and light steamed asamushi sencha brewing in mind. The teapot was wrapped with seaweed, causing the salt from the seaweed to oxidize with the clay making a unique pattern on the teapot. Since gyokuro should be brewed at a lower temperature and with double the amount of loose leaf (usually the most expensive green teas available), the use of this special set is ideal for gyokuro enthusiasts, allowing multiple infusions from the same gyokuro leaf.
How to Brew Gyokuro - Step-by-Step Instructions!
The set is intentionally made very small, holding just 60-80ml of water. The lid fits the inside of the teapot wall perfectly and is tilted to whatever degree the brewer would like the gap to be to pour efficiently, eliminating the need for a filter basket. With perhaps the exception of deep steamed green tea, this tea set could also be used for other green teas.

Organic Kabusecha Sae Midori
This green tea comes from Kirishima City, Kagoshima and is of course harvested from the first round of young leaves. Organic Sae Midori Kabusecha is grown for 14 to 20 days under 45% shade before harvest giving it taste characteristics of both sencha and gyokuro. This light steamed (asamushi) version comes from the Sae Midori clone and it is somewhat rare to be processed in kabusecha form. A sweeter, less astringent taste than regular sencha, it has a lovely green color and is quite flavorful. Brew as you would for sencha. Packed with umami and one of our personal favorites, this delicious green tea comes from Kagoshima and is of course harvested from the first round of young leaves. Light steamed Tsuyu Hikari Organic Sencha
Organic Sencha Tsuyu Hikari - Defininetly one of the better sencha green teas finds we have tried this year. This light steamed sencha green tea is produced in Satsuma, Kagoshima Prefecture and of course is harvested from the first round of young leaves. This is a rather unusually delicious batch with beautiful green needles and great balance, it has a rich, silky mouthfeel. As with most light steamed green teas, some of the taste is subtle but this one has a very nice, pronounced umami and lingering aftertaste.
We have obtained a limited supply of this fantastic green tea, if you love a flavor packed light green tea it's hard to beat this one.
