Bio Grüner Tee

Packed with umami and one of our personal favorites, this delicious green tea comes from Kagoshima and is of course harvested from the first round of young leaves.  When we first offered this in 2017, we knew we would buy it the moment we tried it. Organic Sae Midori asamushi is a light steamed green tea of the Sae Midori clone and is somewhat rare to be processed in the light steamed form. This product is both flavorful and aromatic, much more so than the typical deep steamed Sae Midori. If you are a light-steamed green tea fan, you should really enjoy this one.  As with all of our loose leaf green teas, packaged in nitrogen flushed packaging.

O-Cha.com's private label organic matcha "Kaoru" - This is our middle grade of organic matcha. Grown in Kirishima district of Japan's Kagoshima prefecture with only natural organic fertilizers and no agricultural chemicals, Organic Matcha Kaoru is certified by JONA (Japan Organic & Natural Foods Association), meets JAS certification requirements, and also carries the USDA & European IMO seals (certificates on file.)  Extremely fresh, our matcha are ordered shortly before shipped to our customers and are always stored under refrigeration until shipment. This green tea comes from Kirishima City, Kagoshima and is of course harvested from the first round of young leaves. Organic Sae Midori Kabusecha is grown for 14 to 20 days under 45% shade before harvest giving it taste characteristics of both sencha and gyokuro. This light steamed (asamushi) version comes from the Sae Midori clone and it is somewhat rare to be processed in kabusecha form.  A sweeter, less astringent taste than regular sencha, it has a lovely green color and is quite flavorful. Brew as you would for sencha. As with all of our loose leaf green teas, packaged in nitrogen flushed packaging.

Although this is the lowest priced matcha we carry, the quality is nonetheless quite good for the price, making Uji Organic Matcha a great bargain. From Uji, located near Kyoto, this matcha is grown with only natural organic fertilizers and no agricultural chemicals. It is certified by JONA (Japan Organic & Natural Foods Association) and carries the JAS mark. Try some today!

From Uji Japan, Hojicha, or Hōjicha is a green tea that has been roasted, imparting a red color and a very unique taste. Since the baking process removes the caffeine, this tea is often served in Japan to patients in hospitals, and to children. ThisOrganic Hojicha is excellent iced, you will often find this tea served in Japanese restaurants. Certified organic. As with all of our loose leaf green teas, packaged in nitrogen filled bags.

From Miyazaki in Southern Japan, a first-rate green tea. A combination of loose-leaf green tea puffed rice, and matcha. Organic Matcha Iri Genmaicha is very delicious, and you can serve it either hot or iced. Certified organic. As with all of our loose-leaf green teas, packaged in nitrogen filled packaging.
