Shino Chawan "Edatare Sakura"
Roughly translates into "hanging cherry blossom branch", Shino Chawan "Edatare Sakura" is made in the Mino area near of Gifu Prefecture ("Mino-yaki"), this beautiful handmade chawan is the perfect tea bowl for brewing matcha green tea.
Measures 12 cm wide x 8 cm high (4.7 inches wide x 3.14 inches high)

Nancy UngMai 19, 2016, 13:20I bought this as a gift for a friend. We had just spent Sakura season in Japan and enjoyed matcha there. The chawan is prettier than the picture and as lovely as many that we saw in Japan. A very nice find and highly recommended!

A cleaner at work put my Sakura Chawan in the dishwasher. I realised what happened and rescued it immediately. I would normally never choose to put it there, but I realised I have no idea if these are dishwasher safe. Are they?
Jan 7, 2016, 17:11No, you should not put these in the dishwasher. They might survive but they were not meant to be washed that way.
