This is a very nice sencha!
I must admit I often make it a latte.
A nice energiser.
Enjoy.
Yutaka Midori Sencha Madoka
From the first harvest, Kagoshima Sencha Yutaka Midori "Madoka" is a very special sencha from Kagoshima prefecture located at the southern tip of Japan. Madoka is quite similar to our original Yutaka Midori but is a bit less grassy, has a bit less steaming, and a bit more astringency, which means it probably also packs a bit more catechin punch. Brew with a bit more caution by paying particular attention to brew temperature and brew time. Try some today!

Ryan Robbinsavril 20, 2016, 08:22I thoroughly enjoyed my first session of this tea. While you can taste the yutaka midori cultivar, it has a different flavor than the original yutaka midori sold here. Where it could be interpreted that the original yutaka midori has a pronounced sweetness, this one's sweetness is restrained, bringing out a beautiful elegant flavor. The other reviewer's comparison to a cucumber with the skin on is very apt. This tea gave me a nice mental clarity and boost. Great tea.

Darren Devisonjuin 12, 2015, 12:00Madoka was a nice change of pace from the original Yutaka Midori. I followed the brewing instructions on the site and the temperature was spot on, but I prefer to brew with more leaf, around 1-1.25g/30ml water. The flavor reminded me of eating a cucumber with the skin on. It has a nice subtle hint of grassyness. I also noticed less sweetness than the original. Overall a must try
