A prized variant of first harvest sencha is shincha ("new leaf"), which is cherished for its freshness and is sold shortly after harvesting, without cold storage, making it a seasonal delight available for only a few months each year. While shincha offers a unique experience, nearly all our green teas are from the first harvest, ensuring a premium quality far superior to late-harvest teas like bancha or kukicha. We also feature a selection of second harvest sencha, which are still exceptionally flavorful.
