Tariff Reduction on Green Tea and Matcha Products

We’re pleased to inform our customers that, effective November 13, 2025, import tariffs on green tea and matcha products from Japan have been eliminated for US customers under the new U.S. Executive Order 2025-17507. This policy change removes the previous 15 % reciprocal tariff on tea items classified under HTS 0902.10, restoring them to a 0 % duty rate.

Please note that this update applies only to tea and matcha products—it does not include tea ware such as teapots, cups, or other accessories, which remain subject to their existing tariff classifications. We expect this change to make it easier and more affordable for customers in the United States to enjoy authentic Japanese green tea and matcha once again.
