- Wendy A. Ottmars 17, 2016, 02:44This is my first tasting of this tea. It has nice clean, refreshing, and grassy flavor. The first steeping was somewhat astringent. After several times steeping it still has great flavor. Great value and great teas! I love ordering and trying new teas from O-Cha.
- Matt Sinforosafévr. 9, 2016, 01:06I really enjoyed this tea. I prefer a deeper steamed tea with a stronger flavor but this tea actual was quite flavorful. Grassy, earthy, and slightly sweet. If brewed for more than a minute it gets a little bitter.
- Cameron Lewisjuin 4, 2015, 11:43Beautiful aroma and rich flavour. Clean and refreshing, herbal-grassy and sweet. I almost always get some degree of bitterness, but it seems to work well with the overall character of the tea. Hot water makes it go bitter very quickly. Pouring slowly to keep the tea relatively clear reduces the bitterness.
I can get five good steeps if I keep the second and third short. Great value. - Theo Wilsonmars 5, 2014, 00:38Wonderfully fragrant, refreshing, subtle nutty sweetness. This tea is best enjoyed with very short 2nd 2 - 5 second steeps. It's a very comforting and easy going tea, and being organic, well worth the price.
Also, I recommend doing a google maps search of the tea garden (Tokoji temple) written in Chinese characters on the pack. It's a quaint hill side rural area outside of the main town.
