This Tokoname water cooler, made from brown clay, the tea ware will come in very handy when making either matcha, sencha, or really any type of green tea. Since most green teas needs to be brewed at lower temperatures, use this item to cool your just boiled water to exactly where you need it to be. This water cooler has a very beautiful pattern on the bottom.

Greetings, I apologize if this question has been asked to you previously, but If you wouldn’t mind answering. Regarding your clay tea pots and water cooler, have they been crafted in your region using Fukushima native Clay? If so, is there still residual radiation from the nuclear incident that happened years ago? I know that Clay is great at absorbing radiation. I worry that this could taint the tea if product is used. Thank you
juil. 31, 2019, 11:19First, there's not residual radiation where we are located in Southern Fukushima, otherwise we wouldn't be here.
Regarding this item and all other products we sell, they are not grown or produced in Fukushima but in Southern Japan. They don't use lead, and they are not radioactive. -

How do you clean this water cooler from scale since it isn't glazed?
mars 12, 2017, 10:40I've never seen one of these accumulate scale but if that were to occur, you could most likely soak it in warm water with either vinegar or citric acid for a number of hours and it should clear that up.
