Taiko-San Uji Matcha

Ever since my first tea ceremony experience, I've wanted to get my hands on the best matcha just to see the difference. Seeing the reviews for the taiko san, I took the plunge to try this matcha even though this isnt normally what I get with my budget.

My verdict: This matcha IS the best matcha I've ever tasted. It is simply no comparison with the previous matchas I've bought. From the moment I've opened it, the grassy vegetable smell is intense and I cannot stop admiring that wonderful shade of green. I didnt taste a hint of bitterness whatsoever and the sweet grassy taste lingers a bit. It froths so well when whisking for usucha. I recommend going for koicha since this brings out the best experience for its intense flavor. Its just sooo good I'm totally in love.
Now that I've gotten a taste, I doubt I'm going to enjoy different matchas as much as I have with taiko san. Maybe I'll consider getting the manten next to compare the two. The bar is set that high.
The quality is indeed worth the price. Not too practical if you're going for teas to consume regularly though I'll probably get this in times I need to spoil myself.

Taste and smell of this matcha are absolutely exquisite, yet most off all i appreciate its almost instant effects - this tea is a liquid calmness.

Very expensive (most expensive so far I have tried) but worth it definitely, the quality speaks for itself.

By far the best matcha I have tried. Wasn't bitter at all slightly sweet with a nice smooth umami taste.

You won't be able to have other so-called "ceremonial" matcha anymore. Great packaging and robust matcha that is truly top quality.
