RE: BREW DIRECTIONS: The description says “Leaf (dry weight grams) to Water (1 fl oz / 30 ml) Ratio (recommended) .6 g to 1 oz/30 ml.” Is this 0.6 g to 30 ml for every 30ml? I usually brew about 4-ounces, but I suspect 2.4 gm of leaf might keep me awake all night, LOL.. Or should I consider 30ml (brewed more than once) a more reasonable serving size?
May 11, 2022, 23:00It depends on your teapot and teacup sizes. A typical cup of tea might be 100ml of water, divide that by 30 ml to get 3.3 fl oz, multiply that by 0.6 and you end up with 2 grams of tea. My teapot makes about 2 cups, so that would be 4 grams of tea.
If you're making 4 fl oz / 120 ml then yes, it would be 2.4 grams of tea. That's about a teaspoon or less.
The brew time for that would only be about 45 seconds.
That's a rough guide, you can change it to your liking of course.
