Ratings and Reviews of Kamairi Organic Tamaryokucha
Tõnu SaarsenFeb 27, 2017, 18:44This pan-fried Kamairicha have a unique full flavor, very sweet and velvety. You'll enjoy elements of both Chinese and Japanese tea. I have been drinking different Kamairichas, but this one is my favourite.
JOSHUA R FRIEDSep 13, 2016, 03:47The other reviewers hit it right, I think. It's like Chinese green with its smoky/earthy touchpoints (probably not the right words but think of what's in common with most of the Chinese pan-fried greens you've tried). But it's the cleanest most refined one you've had. So enjoyable. Why not 5 stars? Well, I don't know, but isn't that reserved for one-in-a-zillion teas of unsurpassed beauty? Hey, this might even BE that, but I wouldn't know. My taste isn't that refined. In tea that is. Talk to me about music, though....
Jay KhilnaniMay 26, 2015, 12:17I'm very glad I got to try this tea. Definitely an interesting middleground between Chinese and Japanese greens. Good aroma, umami and even salt. More forgiving of heat than your typical sencha. Excellent tea. My favorite so far!
Ryan RobbinsSep 18, 2014, 11:33Lovely tea. Some citrus, vegetalness, smoothness.
If you haven't yet tried a kamairicha, this would be a good one to try. The price is right, and the quality is there.
You'll enjoy elements of both Chinese and Japanese tea, in unison.
However, at least to me, kamairicha has a distinctly Japanese stamp on it.
I like to brew this tea in a gaiwan. Unlike sencha, you can easily brew this tea in one.
