Works great for gyokuro. I like the convenience of cleanup too, not fond on pots with mesh strainer. 

This is my first shiboridashi. I've been drinking gyokuro teas for a long time, but used regular kyusu for brewing. It's a very nice set that I will use and treasure!

This is a great shiboridashi. It is delicate but also brews a great cup of sencha. The small cups allow you the option of getting 2 cups of sencha per brew. It is very nicely made.
