When I got this teapot, it was smaller than I was expecting, but I was nonetheless very excited to get it. The design is minimalist and it's nice to feel the texture of the green wave designs on the one side to contrast with the rest of the pot's exterior. At first I thought that drip guard was simply there to keep the spout from chipping when putting in its box to transport but I learned what its true purpose was when pouring my first few cups with it.

I haven't the foggiest if it's a design issue with the pot, my specific pot, or if it's a general thing with multiple kyusu-style pots, but when tilting the pot, sometimes liquid comes out from beneath the lid and drips on the spout. It's a minor nitpick though. It doesn't significantly affect the taste of the tea and this only happens when I really tilt the pot.

The removable filter is also great! It was a little tricky to pull out at first. The pull tab doesn't have the best grip, but I've gotten accustomed to pulling it out a certain way to get it out to clean.

All in all, this gets my seal of approval! :)

Wonderful teapot that is not only beautiful, but also practical. The screen filter works well and handles fukamushi without problems. I haven't had any bits of tea leaves stuck in the screen. The teapot fits my hand perfectly, pours neatly without dripping and is easy to rinse clean. The inside is not glazed, but it is not a problem.

Pretty, functional and not expensive; size is perfect for two cups. The removable filter can be very useful for a more thorough cleaning, but personally I don't remove it frequently. I know that Tokoname teapot are not internally glazed in general, but I have to admit I chose this one also because product description suggested to me that it was all glazed (probably it's my fault, I had to ask before). Anyway, if you are looking for a budget internally unglazed Tokoname teapot with removable filter good for all kind of leaves, it is a very good choice I think.
