This tea tastes great. Best I've had so far. I brewed it at 175F for 45sec., 30sec. for the second infusion and it came out right.
Maybe I should try to get a special fukamushi teapot for this though... will see.

This is an exceptionally aromatic and sweet sencha but needs a really careful brewing to prevent astringency from taking over its flavour.
First infusion yields an intensely flavourful & fragrant brew of a unique full-spectrum kind of taste. Second infusion, despite its rich green colour, is significantly less intense and requires carefullness to avoid bitterness. I've been experimenting with shorter brewing times for first & second infusions (as short as 10-20 seconds for 2nd infusion) for best results.
I can also highly recommend trying to brew this sencha using about 60 degree Celsius warm water, as one would with gyokuro, for 1st & 2nd infusions, to bring out most of this great sencha's sweetness.

This tea deserves all the great reviews. It has a wonderful asparagus-type fragrance. It can be a bit challenging to brew to maximize the flavor and minimize the astringency.

Among the best senchas I have tried from any vendor. This is soupy, sweet and loaded with umami. The aroma is like asparagus with melted butter and in the cup the taste is very similar. It does develop bitterness quickly in the first infusion if over-brewed compared to some senchas so be careful with it.

This excellent Sencha is similar to O-Cha's classic Yutaka Midori, but also a little different. It's deep, deep green colour, wonderful aroma and bold taste makes this one of my new favourites! 5 stars across the board!
