It's our pleasure to be able to offer the outstanding Uji sencha "Aoi",  ("Green") from Japan's oldest teashop, Tsuen Tea. This item consists of yabukita leaves from the first harvest and is Tsuen's second highest ranked sencha, the first being their San no Ma. This lightly steamed sencha (asamushi) yields a very wonderful nice grassy aroma. Here is your chance to try some of the best of what Japan has to offer in Japanese green tea, directly from the banks of the Uji river.

I have purchased this tea and the Kagoshima Sencha Sae Midori, and must say this is the better one by far. The tea taste is smooth and gentle, without an overpowering flavor. The astringency is less than the KSSM even though this was given a medium and the KSSM a mild (these should be switched). This tea is worth the extra price even though it requires an extra .2g per 1oz. The wife and co-workers all agree that this is a more enjoyable tea. Can't wait to try the Uji Asamushi Sencha Ujibashi San no Ma (Kirameki). Thank you O-Cha.

I just enjoyed my first infusion of the Aoi. It is a very smooth, light tea. Very nice flavor, not strong at all. I will try to use a bit more leave next time.
