Black or Oolong tea-like flavors with toasted marshmallow sweetness. This is your low caffeine comfort tea on a cold night. Here's a trick: On the first infusion, brew a generous two teaspoons per 200 ml (7 oz) with boiling hot water for only a short time--15 or 20 sec--tastes like a liquid well-toasted marshmallow--memories of childhood around the campfire. Sweet dreams.
Advantages: Organic. Inexpensive. Low caffeine. Okay for kids. Much better than the hojicha available at my local Asian market.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have the same fresh green tea character of un-roasted, non-oxidized, green teas if that is what you are looking for.
