This organic green tea hails from Kirishima Kagoshima and is of course harvested from the first round of young leaves. Medium-steamed (chūmushi) this Organic Sae Midori has a lovely green color.  With a strong aroma, flavorful umami taste, and nice balance of astringency, this organic sencha is nicely balanced and is one of our best aquasitions of the year.  As with all of our loose leaf green teas, packaged in nitrogen flushed packaging.

Medium steamed, this sencha has an intense green color to it, medium body, and carries a rather intense, nice grassy aroma and an unusually strong umami flavor. Grown in Kagoshima Prefecture. Somewhere between light and medium steamed. We knew we had to aquire this when we tasted it as it has a quite strong aroma and very pleasant umami taste. From the first harvest in Uji. Kabusecha is grown in the shade for 14~20 days before harvest under 45% shade, giving it characteristics of both sencha and gyokuro. A sweeter, less grassy and more vegetal, less astringent taste than regular sencha, you can definitely taste vegetive hints of gyokuro.  It is easy to brew, not overly astringent, medium steamed, has a lovely green color, and is reasonably priced making it an all around versatile winner of a green tea. Although it has hints of gyokuro, be sure to brew it as you would for sencha, not gyokuro.

It's O-Cha.com's pleasure to be able to provide you with the Tsuen blend "Musashi", from Japan's oldest teashop, in a 140 gram package! A proprietary blend Yabukita breed karigane sencha,the stems from gyokuro leaves are added, giving this tea a rather strong astringency with somewhat of a "tart", sharp taste. Very similar to Tsuen's Otsuusan, Musashi is less sweet with a bit more astringency for those who like a stronger tasting green tea. Try it today!

Our Green Tea with Matcha Tea Bags (Matcha-Iri-Tea Bags) are a concentrated sencha grown in Kagoshima Prefecture. A combination of loose leaf green tea and powdered sencha (not tea dust), this tea bag comes in the form of a triangular, nylon mesh bag, and will not affect the taste as traditional paper tea bags are known to do. This is an strong green tea, and is especially recommended for iced tea or for use with a larger sushi teacup. For iced tea, we recommend one tea bags per liter/quart. Simply add the tea bags in the water, and refrigerate.

While this green tea would be a very good tea for beginners, even seasoned green tea fans appreciate this sencha. One of the few second harvest green teas we sell, we carry Daily Sencha because it is an above average quality sencha and offers a very good quality-to-price ratio. This green tea is far and away better than what you will find at most grocery or health food stores and is freshly packaged in Japan within a very short time of when you purchase it. This item is a blend of green tea leaf from Japan's Southern Kyushu tea growing region. Be sure not to brew with too much heat or for too long or it can be overly bold.
