Ratings and Reviews of Uji Sencha Miyabi
- Seth HinmanApr 1, 2014, 13:00An excellent sencha... first brew at lower temps (160) for a minute or so yields a smooth, rich honey-like infusion. A short second steep at a higher temp (180) brings out the higher notes and a lavender profile. Subsequent brews are great even up to 5 with a sweet "honey water" type taste. Very unique. Very smooth.

Aroma is awesome, especially with first brew.
It needs careful temperature however it's worth the effort. I prefer this over Gyokuro but hey
all teas from O-Cha are supreme no other
Green tea comes close. Thank you Kevin!

- Jerry JorgensonJun 11, 2013, 01:30I've tried a number of green teas, including the more expensive ones, but I always come back to Miyabi. Great flavour and aroma. When brewed correctly it has a sweet but astringent taste and a pleasant grassy aroma. If brewed too long or at too high a temperature it turns bitter rather than astringent and the sweetness is lost.
One measure lasts all day for me, although the first four infusions (five cups) are the best.
