light steamed green teaAsamushi Sencha The green teas in this category, known in Japanese as "asamushi-cha", or light steamed green teas, are steamed for a shorter period of time than your typical sencha. The period in which any green tea is steamed depends on various characteristics such as where it was grown, elevation, etc. Like deep steamed green tea, not all green teas are suitable for light steaming.

                Organic Kabusecha Sae Midori

Delight in the refined taste of Organic Sae Midori Kabusecha from Kirishima City, Kagoshima, a premium green tea harvested from the first flush of young leaves. This special kabusecha is cultivated under 45% shade for 14 to 20 days before harvest, blending the best qualities of both sencha and gyokuro into a uniquely flavorful experience.

This light-steamed (asamushi) tea comes from the Sae Midori clone, making it a rare find, especially processed in kabusecha form. It offers a sweeter, less astringent taste than traditional sencha, complemented by a vibrant green color that is as visually appealing as it is delicious. Ideal for those who appreciate a milder green tea, this blend provides a robust flavor profile without overpowering astringency.

Packaged in nitrogen-flushed bags to ensure freshness, our Organic Sae Midori Kabusecha is presented in 100-gram packages. Brew it just as you would a regular sencha and savor the exquisite balance of this exquisite green tea.

                    Sae Midori Organic Asamushi Sencha
