Deep Steamed Oku Midori. Due to the very early harvest that occurred in Japan, there's been quite a variance from the norm this year. It's been a few years since we had a really great Oku Midori and thus we have put off buying it but this year it finally happened and this is definitely one of the gems of 2021.
From Kagoshima, an extremely flavorful, full of umami, deep steamed green tea. The high quality of this Oku Midori fukamushi green tea is obvious from the first sip. It has a very beautiful emerald green color to it and strong aroma. Harvested from the first round of young spring leaves. Our personal opinion - This is probably one of the all around best green teas you will ever drink. Nitrogen flushed and vacuum packaged, as fresh of a green tea as you can get.

Thomas DoonerAug 6, 2021, 23:10I received this new Oku Midori sencha just as I was leaving for NY State. I used the municiple, country water where I stayed and I have to say it was excellent. I was very impressed. However upon returning to New Jersey I couldn’t duplicate the taste. I tried many bottled water brands, some tasted better than others but not like that country water. That said, along with all the other parameters for making good tea, water is critical.
