I honestly was impressed. Shipping was on point and it was very securely in the package. It's absolutely gorgeous. This was a Christmas gift for a friend of mine and they loved it but i'm a little jealous and might end up getting my own. It's the perfect size for making matcha.
Advantages: Perfect size for using the matcha whisk.
Disadvantages: None so far!

Simple but very nice bowl. I like bright green matcha in such a shiny black/silver chawan. Good quality and aesthetic.

A beautiful chawan, it's a very shiny black and the dark silvery grey/black color. It may be black but it is not a boring black! It's gorgeous in real life.
Advantages: The inside is very smooth and not likely to cause damage to your chasen. The silvery color is a bit raised above the black color but it is all smooth. The high walls prevent splashing and its heavy enough that it does not rock or move while you whisk. The foot is well made and makes it easy to hold when dumping out the water used to preheat the bowl .
Disadvantages: When I first took it out of its cardboard box it had a funny smell, which may not even be ocha's fault as it could have picked the smell up during shipping, I tried rinsing ( four times with plain water and dried with a paper towel) it but it wouldn't go away. I left it to air out for a day and the smell disappeared. Aside from that I had no complaints.
