Wonderful tea. I have been drinking grocery store green tea and always have to flavor it with lemon and honey or honey and almond milk. When I drink this tea all I want is the tea. Although $0.60 a bag is rather costly, I can get from 4-6, 2 cup drinks from one bag. Then I use the tea leaves in a fruit smootie!

This brews a great cup of tea. The directions on the bag say "boiling water" but as with all green tea " boiling water," will brew a bitter cup. Follow O-cha recommendations and brew at 170 degrees. Very convenient for when I travel or can not carry my tea leaves with me.

The best bagged green tea I've had. Comparable to a mid-range medium steamed loose leaf tea. I was using it in a mug so I could only get one good infusion out of it, but 5g bags would probably suit my use better. Either way, a bit grassy, a bit astringent, a great all-rounder.

This is a very good green tea bag. Like they say at O-Cha, a bagged green tea will not be as good as a quality loose leaf, but it is definitely far superior to anything you will find in the grocery store!

I love these tea bags for when I am traveling, but I am concerned about the fact that they are made from nylon.

Do you offer an alternative with a paper tea bag?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Unfortunately we don't have an alternative paper tea bag. There are downsides to paper tea bags as well.

do your organic tea bags contain any plastic? are they 100% compostable? are they 100% silk or just a "silky" sachet?

They are nylon made from nylon. I don't believe there is such a thing as a 100% silk sachet that is made.

Does this tea a lot of caffeine or little

This has the same caffeine content as regular green tea, which is not as much as coffee but then again, it's not decaf either.
