This is by far my favorite. It can be too astrigent if brewed to long or too hot but otherwise is very nicely grassy hinted with sea-broth. I brew it hot at 170 or 172 F for the first one infusion but not for very long - 45 sec I think. It is very unique.

Certainly this tea does not disappoint. It has a flavour of its own, and using what I will think of as a Canadian technique, I achieved a good taste from the first brew. Its price and quality is comparable with other senchas available more locally to me, and I have no complaints.
My parameters: 1tsp / 4 minutes, 70C 250ml.
I have not tried O-cha's suggested parameters yet. - Jens EvensenMay 15, 2014, 03:28Very nice and fresh sencha!
- John HasslingerMar 14, 2014, 05:53This is a good quality sencha with flavor that meets expectations when purchasing in Japan. Although not my favorite of o-cha.com teas, it is noticeably fresher and better quality than what you'll find at your local "Japanese grocery"- no question.
- Laurie MillerSep 28, 2013, 23:48I ordered quite a lot of this in the 2013 shincha form, and it was a fabulous asamushi. I tended to brew the first infusion a bit hot, since otherwise it can go a bit floral, and I don't like floral.
