Recognizing the need for a high-quality culinary matcha that is affordable yet effective for everyday cooking applications such as lattes, smoothies, ice cream, and baked goods, we carefully selected our cooking grade matcha. This product is real, authentic Japanese matcha—not powdered sencha, and not grown in China, but genuine matcha grown in Japan.
It's important to be aware that not all matcha labeled as produced by Japanese companies is necessarily grown in Japan. Some Japanese companies cultivate matcha in China, import it to Japan, and then export it again. This practice is especially common with cooking grade matcha. In contrast to many cooking grade matcha products available online, our matcha is authentically sourced from Uji, Japan, near Kyoto.
